School Age Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION

An Assistant Group Supervisor is responsible for implementing an educational program that reflects the philosophy and goals of Little Lambs Learning Center. The AGS works cooperatively with the staff/ co-teacher. As an advocate for the children in the group, he or she aims to develop positive relationships with the children, families and staff members at Little Lambs Learning Center.

As an AGS, your daily responsibilities are as follows:
· Greet each child and parent.
· Maintain the health, welfare, and safety of each child.
· Supervise children at all times including nap time, meal times, and toilet times. A child is never left alone, or left to be supervised by another child or parent.
· Provide a positive, loving and nurturing environment for children.
· Implement indoor and outdoor activities appropriate for the development stages of each child in your assigned group.
· Complete incident reports, and daily logs.
· Keep classroom and equipment neat, clean, free of clutter, and in good order.
· Initiate and carryout large and small group activities with the children, which may include participating in playground activities.
· Maintain confidentiality.
· Be knowledgeable of and able to conduct emergency procedures including but not limited to: fire, tornado, hurricane, chemical leaks, including lifting and carrying children.
· Attend staff meetings.
· Participate in and cooperate with group decisions; is a team player.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Director(s).
